Matthew 18 - Correction in the Body

Home Churches

Emerald Ministries is a dedicated supporter of the home church movement that God has been expanding over the past several years.  Believers who are consistently involved in home church bible fellowships are most often the ones that rapidly develop spiritual maturity in their walk.  This is why the church in the book of Acts grew so quickly.  Emerald strives to identify existing home church bible studies, assist new start ups, and provide centralized networking information to enable other Christians to locate these home fellowships in their community. 

The reasons for the name Emerald:

We have been asked the question on many occasions "Why the name Emerald?"

Below are the 5 main reasons!

(Five being the number of grace)

†    The primary reason: It is the color that surrounds God's throne, which we say with confidence is God's favorite color.

†    Green is the color of growth or provision, green trees, green grass "He makes me to lie down in green pastures".

†    It is the fourth stone on the breastplate of the High Priest of Israel. It represents the tribe of Judah, which is the tribe that Jesus was from.

†    It is the Jewish wedding stone (as opposed to a diamond).

†    It is the founders birthstone.

Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an Emerald.

Exodus 39:11 And the second row, an Emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
